Calvary Bible Baptist Church is a current church plant/restarting work headed up by State Line Baptist Church in Rising Sun MD last summer (2020) and is now doing really well. We showed up in town just knocking on doors seeing if this was a fertile area and the Lord made the connections to a family that had been praying that the church could be restarted. God's hand has been upon this work every since.
The church owns its own building which can seat around 40 people. We have an average Sunday morning attendance around 25-35 every Sunday with occasional visitors. The members of the church absolutely love preaching and we get about 60% of the people return for Sunday evening services! They love the Lord and are diligent note takers. The church is made up of all ages with a healthy group of young people that are faithful.
The waterfront town of Rock Hall has a population of around 1,350 souls, 60 miles southwest of Wilmington Delaware. The town is located on Maryland’s Eastern Shore, right on the Chesapeake Bay, known for its great fishing and crabbing and has a large summer tourist crowd as well. Calvary Bible Baptist Church is the only Baptist church in town. For a hard-working God called pastor, It is a great opportunity to really make a gospel impact on this town.
We are currently praying for the man of like faith that the Lord would have to pastor this church. We are prayerfully seeking a Bible loving, Christ following, soul hungry, local church man of God that meet the Biblical qualifications of a pastor to come and take this wonderful work where God would lead. We are an independent, fundamental, KJV only, pre-trib, pre-mil church that loves Christ and the commission to establish like faith churches. We reject Calvinism, Arminianism, New IFB, legalism, liberalism, Ruckmanism or anything else that doesn't line up with the Bible.
